I love a unique “how we met” story. Alisha and Pierre initially met at a local pharmacy. She admits that she thought he was cute even but it wasn’t love at first sight. Recently spent a few hours with them in Brooklyn capturing their love on camera in the same pharmacy where they met.
The sun setting in Brooklyn gave us some awesome lighting.

Hey Folks!
I haven’t blogged in a while. This wedding season is really crazy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. June and July were heavy wedding months for me with lots of travel. August apparently is the engagement shoot and portrait month and I’m loving this set up! We’ve passed the halfway mark of this year and I’m still excited for what God has in store for me and Joshua Dwain Photography.
Here are a few of Carolina and Hector’s engagement photos. It was really fun shooting with them. We all (especially me) were extremely bothered by the NYC heat, but nonetheless we pulled through and had an amazing time during the process. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Be blessed,

I’ve often wondered how the relationship between love and expressing it (love) transcends beyond the obvious (the bedroom). Maybe this is TMI for my blog but it was on my mind. Sometimes people who say they love each other rarely show it outside the home. Personally I believe love is fun; it isn’t boring and it certainly can be expressed publicly and fully clothed. It’s a breath of fresh air when I meet a couple that loves each other AND loves to have fun and be silly too.
George loves Shanette. That is 100% evident from the time I spent with them and they love to have fun together…
Here is part one of my favorites…
Since Shanette looked so fly, we decided to give her the first part of the shoot. She’s rocking traditional Indian garb. We were all blown away. She looked gorgeous!
This is when we finally decided to throw George into the mix…
More to come of these two real soon… I promise

We’ve been pretty much done with weddings since the last week of November. Lately we’ve just been booking 2010 weddings and shooting engagement sessions. I thought it would be pretty calm until March but I was wrong. For almost every wedding we book, we have an engagement session as well. Our couples really take advantage of this since our e-sessions are free of charge at the time of booking. This is a really cool incentive that we offer. So for the next few weeks or so we’ll be doing engagements, engagements, and more engagements.
E-sessions really set the tone for the wedding. We get to interact with our couples on a personal level. Not everyone is used to having a camera in their face for 1-2hrs and we understand that. These sessions aren’t only really for taking wonderful images, but they’re also to help our clients get comfortable with and used to us. Our business model is built around being personable. Sometimes after our sessions we go to dinner with our clients or just end up at a remote location and talk for hours about life and relationships. Not because we force the issue, but because we want to solidify their trust.
Enough blabbing. I’ll leave you with something from a recent engagement session…

I haven’t posted anything new in about 2 weeks and I’m feeling a bit down. The only reason why I’m feeling this way is because I have a few things I’d like to post but my recent schedule doesn’t permit blogging time. So I’m sort of breaking my own rules and going off schedule to say “Hi”. I took the week of Thanksgiving off but now I’m back in full effect. Thanks to my secret followers that have been bearing with me.
I’ll leave you with a little “sumthin, sumthin”…
I’ll be back in a few days…
