The objective of the game of Chess is to checkmate the King of your opponent by moving and positioning your chess pieces on the board. A Checkmate signifies that the King is in a position in which he cannot move without being captured. But what do we call the position where a King wants to be captured, or better yet what do we call the position where he only wants to be captured by a Queen?
In chess, the Queen is the most powerful piece on the board. A true Queen has the ability to capture the hearts of those she comes in contact with whether they are Rooks, Knights, Bishops, Pawns but most importantly Kings. Stacy is a true Queen and Elias is her King (well, soon to be at least).
I officially congratulate Stacy and Elias on their Wedding Engagement. I’ve known Stacy as long as I’ve known myself.
She is a very dear friend and I am truly happy for her. Our families have been close long before our parents were married. We’ve all spent Christmases together, New Year’s, birthdays, millions of choir rehearsals, barbeques, church youth meetings and anything else I can think of. I’m elated that she has found a best friend in Elias. I met Elias in 2008 and he’s instantly become a very good friend. Good catch Elias, welcome to the family.
I took the photo below this past Sunday while Anyeka and I hung out with Stacy and Elias in Long Island. I’m looking forward to the actual engagement photos coming later this year!
